The Tulip Top is vintage inspired and reversible. This sewing project offers nearly immediate gratification with its quick-sew process and tie closures. To don this cute top, just slip it over your little one's head and tie the front around the back and the back around the front.
Four darts at the hem create fullness in the Top, evoking the shape of just released tulips!
The slim Tulip Bermuda Shorts nicely accompany the Tulip Top. They work for either a boy or girl. Elastic at the back waist allows little bellies to flex after an ice cream cone. Secure a yard of your favorite ribbon to the sides of the Shorts and those little legs will flash color as they dash across the playground.
Peony Party Patterns
We were inspired to create a small collection of patterns to coordinate a formal occasion. The girl's Shrug is a beginner project that sews up in less than a half hour. It can be embellished with trim or ribbon and provides a bit of protection from the elements if your special function is outdoors.
The traditional vest can be jazzed up with contrasting welt pockets or vintage buttons. Can you imagine your munchkins lined up wearing our Peony collectio, ready to lead a wedding procession down the isle?
